PREFACE

Showing members, officers and committees; the number, title and introducer of each bill; the number, introducer and text of each resolution and memorial as finally adopted. The text of every resolution and memorial that was not finally adopted is given as originally introduced.

In the work of abridgement, precaution has been taken not to alter or confuse the meaning of the language of the original record. Contractions have been confined to such routine parts of the proceedings as are manifestly regular and clear. When otherwise, the language of the original has been preserved. The complete roll call as it appears and is summarized in the original journals is given on every bill, resolution and memorial as well as on every question involved in the consideration of each.
